Origami is the art of folding paper into shapes and styles, toilet paper origami (also called “toilegami”) involves doing this while the paper is on or off the roll. When impressions count, this might be the ultimate definition of ‘going out of your way’ to impress.
I personally have never seen it before, apparetly this regularly used in hotels as a sign to would be guests that the bathroom is clean and a high level of attention has been given. The most commonly seen shapes are triangles but more elaborate shapes like pleats and basket folds are a welcoming sight when encountered.
Other finishes are found with stickers or company branding which prevents the fold from losing its edge if left for longer durations of time.
Beyond the usage of toilet paper dispensers there have been some amazingly elaborate wedding dress designs made out of toilet paper and glue.
What’s your opinion on toilegami, Classy extra or slightly obsessive attention to detail?
