The boom in house building across the UK is great news for the construction industry, and even better news for portable toilet experts AndyLoos.
The company, based in Hartlebury in the West Midlands a, this week celebrated hitting the 2000 mark – for the number of portable toilets installed at small construction sites around the country – all at the same time!
Throughout 2014 the company delivered a grand total 5000 toilet units to construction sites across the UK and is expecting to exceed this figure this year by 10% this year.
“We’re seeing an increase in the number of smaller contracting and building firms winning contracts to build small-scale housing developments in order to meet the demand for the Government’s ambitious housebuilding plans, explains Adam Houchen, Director of AndyLoos.
“The knock-on effect is not only good for those working in the construction industry, but for organisations such as AndyLoos working further up the supply chain.”
Last week the Federation of Master Builders published its 2015 House Builders’ Survey, which supports this view showing an increased level of participation in house building by small builders, boosted by a buoyant housing market and increased access to finance opened up by the government.
Adam continues: “The construction industry is an important sector for AndyLoos accounting for almost 50 % of our business. We aim to deliver our portable toilets on-site within 24 hours of an order being made. Last year, we achieved a 99% success rate on this – and this year we’re looking to beat that too!”
