According to the financial information and services company Markit, the recovery of the housebuilding market in the second half of 2015 proved to be a huge success for the UK construction industry. After a seven month low, reports that commercial building in UK cities “also held up well to push the December index to 57.8” causing the construction sector to end 2015 on a high note.

This boom in construction looks set to continue in 2016, with Markit anticipating “a rise in business activity over the course of 2016”. The boost in not only commercial building but also housebuilding is not only good news for the UK’s construction industry, but also for customers of AndyLoos – experts in portable toilet and washroom facilities on building sites across the UK. AndyLoos offers a range of portable facilities for construction sites, including showers, washrooms and units with disabled access, all of which are maintained regularly.
Whilst commercial building is expected to be a big contributor to construction in 2016, housebuilding is expected to continue to increase and have a bigger impact. George Osborne’s scheme to create 400,000 new homes by 2020 is likely to have a big impact on the growth of construction in the coming years, with Max Jones, a construction specialist at Lloyds Bank, saying “housebuilding remains boosted by government measures to increase demand”.

2015 was a great year for AndyLoos in terms of providing portable toilets to building sites across the UK, and 2016 looks set to be an even better year. The impact of the commercial building sector is expected to remain steady and with the number of new government schemes to boost infrastructure spending and housebuilding, it looks like 2016 is going to be a great year for the customers of AndyLoos!
