Andyloos has stepped in to provide free portable toilets in Newquay, after the town was caught short ahead of the busy summer season.
AndyLoos, whose southern depot is based at Fair Park, Summercourt, is providing temporary toilets, including disabled facilities, for the popular holiday destination over the peak summer weeks.
Although Newquay Town Council has taken over three toilet facilities in the centre of Newquay, only one is currently open.  A new block is due to open later summer, and the discovery of asbestos at the railway station toilets has delayed refurbishment works, meaning they too remain closed.
The Chamber of Commerce and the Newquay Regeneration Forum got in touch with AndyLoos and explained their plight and the firm was only too happy to help!
Andy Hannan, chairman of the town council’s economic development and general purposes (EDGP) committee, said: “It’s a good gesture from AndyLoos, I’m really pleased and I would like to thank the chamber and the forum for instigating this.”
