It was all cisterns go at AndyLoos recently when the company received a distress call from the Bull Ring Wholesale Market in the centre of Birmingham. The main water supply to the Market had sprung a leak and emergency facilities were needed immediately to provide relief for the cross-legged traders and visitors alike.
The leak meant the main toilet facilities at the market had to be closed and alternatives found to cope with the high visitor numbers who flock there each week.
AndyLoos took the emergency call from the market managers at 11.00 a.m. on Sunday morning who got through to the company’s out of hours on-call team, and by 2.00 p.m. that afternoon had installed 18 toilet units on site.
“With 25 years experience of renting portable toilets we’re used to dealing with all sorts of interesting jobs and emergencies such as this,” explained Adam Houchen, Director of AndyLoos.
“All our units are fully cleaned and serviced at our site in Hartlebury on their return from other contracts, and as such we had 18 units ready to dispatch and install at the market.”
The portable toilets remained on-site at the market for two weeks while the main water supply was being fixed. AndyLoos teams made daily visits to the market servicing the units to ensure they remained clean and stocked with toilet paper throughout – including servicing them twice a day during weekends to cope with extra visitors to the market for the popular car boot sale.
