Construction workers to see pay increase

Unions have created a deal that will grant 400,00 construction workers a pay increase of 2.5% this year.

The unions GMB, Ucatt and Unite secured the Construction Industry Joint Council Agreement which will commence on the 25 July. This pay increase vastly higher than the UK inflation rate which stands at 0.3%, this is should be joyfully accepted by the workers in our construction industry.
There’s still more needed to be done to adequately fulfill the needs of our construction workers but this is a step in the right direction. Hopefully these changes might be a sign for things to come as to help fill the void in the UK’s construction worker’s shortage.
